Dezember 1917 in Myeongdongchon in Nord-Gando, in der Mandschurei, geboren. Er besuchte die Grundschule in Myeong-dong und ver\u00f6ffentlichte 1925 ein Literaturmagazin mit dem Titel New Myeongdong (\uc0c8\uba85\ub3d9). 1932 wurde er zur Eunjin-Mittelschule in Lungching zugelassen und ging 1935 nach Korea, um die Soongsil-Mittelschule in Pj\u00f6ngjang zu besuchen.<\/p>\n<p>Allerdings wurde diese Schule im selben Jahr aufgrund einer Streitigkeit um einen japanischen Schrein geschlossen. Er ging nach Longjing zur\u00fcck, um das Gwangmyeong-Institut zu besuchen. Im Hauptfach studierte er Geisteswissenschaften an der Yeonhui Technical School, die sp\u00e4ter zur Yonsei-Universit\u00e4t wurde. 1938 ver\u00f6ffentlichte er \u201eSchuss auf den Mond\u201c (\ub2ec\uc744 \uc3d8\ub2e4) in der Zeitung Chosun Ilbo und das Kinderlied \u201eSanulrim&#8221; (\uc0b0\uc6b8\ub9bc) in dem Monatsmagazin Sonyeonji. 1942 ging er nach Japan und war an der Rikkyo-Universit\u00e4t in Tokio, Abteilung f\u00fcr englische Literatur, t\u00e4tig, bevor er sechs Monate sp\u00e4ter an die Universit\u00e4t in Kyoto ging.<\/p>\n<p>Er wurde krimineller Handlungen verd\u00e4chtigt und am 14. Juli 1943 w\u00e4hrend einer Reise in die Heimat festgenommen. Im folgenden Jahr verurteilte ihn das Landesgericht zu zwei Jahren Haft, weil er in der koreanischen Unabh\u00e4ngigkeitsbewegung aktiv war. Er wurde in Fukuoka inhaftiert und starb im Februar 1945 mit 27 Jahren unter ungekl\u00e4rten Ursachen im Gef\u00e4ngnis.<\/p>\n<p>Seine Gedichte erwuchsen aus seiner Erkenntnis und seiner gro\u00dfen Sorge um die humane Welt und wurden in seiner eigenen Sprache geschrieben. Es wird gesagt, dass seine Gedichte das Leid eines Intellektuellen w\u00e4hrend der Kolonialzeit in sich trugen und dass sie sowohl ein wahrhaftes Bewusstsein der Selbstreflexion repr\u00e4sentierten als auch einen gewissen Gef\u00fchls\u00fcberschwang. Zu seinen Hauptwerken geh\u00f6ren \u201eVorwort\u201c (\uc11c\uc2dc), \u201eSelbstportr\u00e4ts\u201c (\uc790\ud654\uc0c1), \u201eEine andere Heimat\u201c (\ub610 \ub2e4\ub978 \uace0\ud5a5), \u201eDie Nacht, als ich die Sterne z\u00e4hlte\u201c (\ubcc4 \ud5e4\ub294 \ubc24) \u201eEin Gedicht, das mir leicht von der Hand ging\u201c (\uc27d\uac8c \uc4f0\uc5ec\uc9c4 \uc2dc).<\/p>\n<p>Yun Dong-ju ist heute einer der repr\u00e4sentativsten Dichter Koreas, wenngleich er zu seiner Zeit nicht ber\u00fchmt war.
